Our eyewear is available in all fine optical stores and from your eye doctor.


Where is your eyewear made?

Primarily Japan and Italy. Where better eyewear is made.


Is there a special fitting required?

All glasses require fitting as face shapes and sizes are unique. A licensed Optician is required.


Does your eyeglasses require special care?

Our eyewear should be cared for by regularly cleaning using soapy water, and always store in the case provided when you’re not wearing them.


How long should your eyewear they last?

With proper care and the occasional adjustment by a licensed Optician, your eyeglasses should last several years. But by then you'll want to update your look with a new pair!


Can I put new lenses in older frames?

Sometimes, it depends if your prescription has changed and also what you need your eyeglasses for.


Where can I get them repaired, if necessary?

Always returned to the store you purchased them at. Your ALFRED SUN eyeglasses have a 2-year warranty against manufacture defects.


Does my insurance cover the cost of new prescription eyewear?

That depends on your coverage and your prescription. That is why it is important to work with a reputable store or your eye doctor they can advise you better.


How often should I have an eye examine?

It is advised every two years. If you have a medical condition every year is recommended.


What is the difference between an optician and an optometrist?

Optometrists are Doctors, they can write prescriptions and check on you overall eye health. Opticians are licensed for dispensing eyewear, fitting and adjustments.


Do you offer eyewear for kids?

Not yet, but we’re working on it.


Where can I donate gently used eyewear?

Many Optical retailers will take your used eyewear and donate them to charitable organizations.


What is the price of your eyewear?

Price will vary greatly depending on the material and the amount of hand craftsmanship used in each pair.
